Happy Cinco de Drinko everyone! Just another reason to celebrate a not-so-casual Thursday Thursday with the crew. Check out a couple of our favourite recipes below! Let us know what you think.
- Fresh lime
- Olive oil
- Salt and Pepper
- Chilli powder
In a large ziploc bag or container, add some tequila, lime juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, and chilli powder. Stir these ingredients together then add the shrimp. Make sure all of the shrimp are equally covered by the mix. You’re going to want to marinate your shrimp for 30 minutes to an hour.
Step 2 - Cook
Once your shrimp have been marinated, you’re going to want to fry them. Start by placing a frying pan on the stove and pouring some olive oil on the pan. When the oil is hot, add your shrimp to the pan. Thawed shrimp doesn’t take long to fry at all. You should only have to cook them for about 2-3 minutes per side. When the shrimp are a more golden shade, you know they are ready to serve.
Step 3 - Serve
You can serve your shrimp however you want but we recommend doing it up taco style. Grab some corn tortillas, coleslaw, guac and pico de gallo. You can make all of these ingredients from scratch or you can purchase them pre-made. You do you.
- Fresh squeezed lime juice
- Simple syrup
- Orange liqueur
- Lime zest
Step 1 - Mix
Grab your cocktail shaker and throw in some ice. Then pour in your desired amount of tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake all of the ingredients then let them sit.
Step 2 - Rim
On a small plate, mix the lime zest, salt, and sugar. Grab a glass and lightly wet the rim with water. Then dip the rim of the glass in the dry mix until it’s coated.
Step 3 - Pour and serve
Once your rim is complete, add ice into the glass then strain your drink mix over top. Garnish with a lime slice!
