What to Wear Après Ski: The Lodge, the Drive Home and the Cabin
The best run of the day is usually the one after the last run. Boots off, hands around something hot, nobody checking the time.
That stretch needs its own outfit. Warm, easy to pull over wet hair, and good from the lodge to the car to the couch without a change. Here's how we build it around the Après Ski Hoodie in Ash.
The hoodie
The Après Ski Hoodie is $75 CAD. It's a 60% cotton / 40% polyester fleece with a brushed inside and a relaxed fit. Adjustable hood with matching drawcords, kangaroo pocket, ribbed cuffs and hem.
The front stays quiet: a small red "Après Ski" script on the chest. The back does the talking. A snowed-in log cabin, crossed skis, a cocoa mug, a trophy, and "Slopes Conquered | Cocoa Poured | Chalet Comfort" underneath.
Ash is a light heathered grey, so it plays well with grey, black and brown. Sizes run XS to 3XL. The model is 5'10", 170 lbs, wearing a Medium.
We designed it for the part of winter that starts when the lifts stop.
Stop one: the lodge
The shell's off and dripping on a hook. You want something warm and clean that doesn't look like a base layer.
- Après Ski Hoodie, Ash, $75
- Basic Tee, Ash, $42. A soft 95% cotton / 5% spandex tee for when the fireplace wins and the hoodie comes off.
- Fleck Toque, Black, $32. Ribbed knit with a rubber TEAM LTD mountain patch. Handles helmet hair.
Match the tee in Ash for a tonal look, or go a shade darker so it reads as a layer.
Stop two: the drive home
The 400 back to the city, heat on, playlist on its third loop. Comfort wins.
- Après Ski Hoodie, Ash, $75
- Cargo Sweatpant, Athletic Grey, $85. 100% cotton heavyweight fleece, relaxed fit, flap cargo pockets for your phone and your pass, elastic cuffs that stay out of the slush.
- Mid Calf Socks, 2 Pack, $18. Dry socks after ski socks. Small win, big win.
Grey on grey takes zero thought and still looks put together. The cuffs stack clean over boots or slides.
Stop three: the cabin
Dinner, cards, one more drink than planned, maybe a walk outside to look at the stars.
- Après Ski Hoodie, Ash, $75
- Hybrid Jogger, $80. Lightweight stretch, cleaner than a sweatpant, zippered back pockets. Black, Brown or Cement.
- Woodland Sherpa 1/4 Zip, $110. Over the hoodie for the run to the hot tub or the woodpile.
- LTD Club Trucker, $45, for when the toque has done enough.
Our pick: Ash on the Brown Hybrid Jogger. Warm colours, no effort.
Why one hoodie covers all three
- Warm without bulk. Brushed fleece and ribbed cuffs, but it still fits under a shell for the walk to the car.
- Works at dinner. The front is quiet. The back starts the conversation.
- Goes with what you packed. Ash sits with the grey, black and brown basics already in the bag.

What do you wear to après ski?
Something warm and easy to pull on once the gear comes off. A fleece hoodie, a soft tee, joggers or sweatpants and a toque covers almost every lodge and cabin.
What is the Après Ski Hoodie made of?
60% cotton and 40% polyester fleece with a soft brushed inside.
How does it fit?
Relaxed. The model is 5'10", 170 lbs, wearing a Medium. Between sizes and want room for a layer underneath? Size up.
Does it come in other colours?
Right now it's Ash, a light heathered grey.
Can I wear it skiing?
It's a cotton blend, so it's best after skiing, or as a mid layer under a shell on mild days. On cold or wet days, wear a proper base layer and save the hoodie for après.
